The time between Christmas and New Year’s Eve seems to be filled with promise. Whatever the year held for us seems to dissolve in the peace of Christmas Day. Whether it is time spent in church, with family, volunteering, at the movie, or alone in quiet contemplation (I have done all of these), it ends with a peace and calm. The next day you wake renewed and ready to plan for he best year yet. Seriously, we never look at the coming year with dread, it is always with what we will do. It is the time we allow ourselves to dream big. In our minds we can accomplish anything. And will.
Maximize this time by letting your mind dream. Don’t judge or dismiss your dreams at this point, just let them go. Don’t be afraid to dream big! Keep a notebook with you (paper or electronic) and keep adding. Give yourself 72 hours and see what you can come up with!
